If you are a video creator who wants to create a brand, you’ve come to the right place. This will be give you all the information you need to learn about building websites for YouTubers.
In this EASY 5 step guide, I will show you how to make a website for your YouTube channel that will look stunning, is lightning fast and will be responsive on all devices. (P.S. no coding needed).
But first, why would I want a website for my YouTube channel?
Another powerful reason for creating a website for a YouTuber channel is that you can use it to sell your own products. This be anything from merch, E-Books, courses, training, custom gear and so much more.
PRO TIP: If you decide not to make a website for your channel, I would highly recommend to at least purchase a domain name to keep safe for the future. You’ll never know when you might want to use it!
Typically this would be the name of your YouTube channel, (for example, Keto Diet Guides would be “ketodietguides.com” or anything close to this. You can lock up your domain name here for 99 cents.
Ok, let’s get into it!
How To Make A Website For YouTubers
Step 1: Choose a Website Builder
In this guide I will be using the Wix Website Builder which has helped over a 110 million people create their own stunning websites. While thats an amazing feat, the thing I love the most about using Wix is that it’s super user friendly and literally anyone can make a great website in under and hour. This is thanks to their drag and drop user interface.
Another advantage to using six is that you can easy embed your entire YouTube library or selected videos that look stunning. Also with Wix you can create the site for free, however you wont get a personalized domain name and there will be Wix ads in your site.
Step 2: Join Wix & Select Your Desired Template
Logging into Wix is super simple which can be done via a FaceBook account or your email address. Once you have joined and logged in, you will then be welcomed to the above screen.
From here you can selected what type of website would be suit your YouTube channel. If you can find the desired category, thats ok, you can selected ‘other’. For me I went with the Photography option as that is the primary focus of my YouTube channel.
Once you have chosen your desired theme, simply click on it which will bring up the edit drag and drop builder.
Step 3: Time To Edit Your Template & Add In Your Own Content
Now comes the fun part! Well for me any way. If you also love design and love the details, then you too will most likely enjoy this part. As I mentioned above, all Wix templates are drag and drop and can be edited right within the template it self.
If you want to view more about how to edit a Wix template, you can check out this helpful video below.
Step 4: Add In Your YouTube Video Into The Website
When making a website for YouTubers, being able to insert videos is a must! Fortunately when you use Wix, it is as easy as copy and pasting a link into the desired page or post. Once you have selected your desired video or playlist, you can then resize the video and select it to auto play, loop and many other options.
Also thanks to the drag and drop nature of the website builder, you can also resize the video by pinching the corner and sizing accordingly. You can check out this video below which shows you exactly how to add videos to Wix.
Step 5: Publish Your Site & Upgrade If Need Be
Now comes the best part! Once you have done your selected edits and inserted your content, you are now ready to publish! On the top right hand corner of the editing page is a blue publish button. Once done your website will now be live and share to the world.
Personally, I would recommend upgrading to the to a premium plan is it gives you a custom domain name, hosting, email and a laundry list of other features. Also it looks a lot more professional when you or someone contacts you through your website.
Hopefully this guide on making websites for YouTubers has made your journey a lot easier. Let me know your thoughts on creating websites!

Thank you for the encouragement to face my fear of stage fright and the capabilities to show my artistic side by having a website to do so. It’s scary but, yet exciting. Greatly appreciate it.
