Jon Olsson is someone who takes Vlogging to the very extremes. Skiing, trekking and revving cars are just a few of the things Olsson spends most of his time on. So what camera does Vlogger Jon Olsen use for to capture all this epicness? Lets find out!
Born in Sweden, Jon has been a skiing enthusiast from a very early age. Soon, he started filming himself doing various stunts and participated in races. Today, he competes in both freestyle as well as professional competitions.
Olsson aspired to share his travels & daily routines with the world, and thus created a Youtube channel. While Youtube doesn’t make up for the majority of his earnings, it does contribute generously.
If you’ve ever watched one of his videos, you would notice that Olsson loves exquisite destinations and locations. No matter how physically expressive his actions get, his videos are always spotless, maintaining their top-brass quality.
So What Camera Does Vlogger Jon Olsson Use?
Jon uses the mighty Sony A7S Mark II.
Featuring a redesigned body, and a revamped features-list, the A7S II is the successor to the A7S. Belonging to the line of mirrorless cameras, the A7S Mark Ii is capable of meeting even the most exorbitant of demands.
- 12.2MP Sensor
- 100 – 409600 ISO
- 4K recording onto SD card
- 120fps High Frame Rate recording
- 5x/4x slow-mo capabilities
4K was first introduced by Sony with the original A7S, however it was supported only through an external HDMI storage device. The entire scenario changed with the release of A7S Mark II.
The A7S Mark II can store 4K video right to your SD card. To make sure you make the most out of slow-mo shoots, the A7S II even offers 1080p recording at 120fps.
But 4K recording does put strain on the battery, right?
Right, but Sony has even found a way round this problem, allowing the camera to simultaneous charge during use. Along with all these features, the camera supports a wide ISO range, and packs a plethora of AF functionalities.
Build-wise, Sony has done a fabulous job. The camera is dust & moisture resistant and has a double-layered structure for enhanced sealing. The shutter mechanism can withstand 500,000 actuations. For added portability, the camera includes Wi-Fi & NFC connectivity.
All this brings us to the conclusion:
The A7S Mark II is a Vlogger’s camera, period.
